Liverpool in German battle for gifted star

Some reports have claimed Borussia Dortmund will battle with the likes of Liverpool for the signing of Red Bull Salzburg defender Martin Hinteregger as they seek cover for the injured Neven Subotic.

It was confirmed earlier today that the influential Serbian centre-back would be out of action for the next six months, ruling him out for the rest of the season for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
