Napoli Looking To Sign Liverpool Midfielder
Napoli are reportedly looking to sign Liverpool defensive midfielder Lucas Leiva during the January transfer window.
Rafa Benitez has publicly stated that the Partenopei are always keeping their eye on the market and this time the tactician could be focused on bringing another player from The Reds over to the Serie A side this winter.
According to The Sun, the former Liverpool coach is rumoured to already be in talks with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis and sporting director Riccardo Bigon about signing the 26-year-old in the near future.
If the Brazilian decides to accept an offer from the Azzurri, he would be reunited with former team-mate Pepe Reina, who joined the club over the summer, and Benitez, who he played under at the English side for three years.
Leiva joined Liverpool from Gremio in 2007 and has scored one goal in his 157 league appearances for the club since then.
