Jamie Carragher believes Liverpool need to make another couple of signings if Brendan Rodgers’ side are to challenge for a top-four finish.

The Reds legend called time on a decorated 16-year career with his boyhood club last May as the Merseyside outfit finished in a disappointing seventh place.
Rodgers has already signed Spanish duo Luis Alberto and Iago Aspas, as well as Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet and experienced defender Kolo Touré.
But Carragher believes the 18-time English champions still need to strengthen further before the summer transfer window closes to have a chance of securing Champions League football.
“I want to see my old club go well but it’s not going to be easy to get into the top four unless they make another couple of signings; maybe one defensively and one in the attacking areas,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
“I’d like to see them do that even if they keep Luis Suarez and I think there’s money to do it so I’m sure Brendan Rodgers will bring in at least one player before the end of the window.
“If they go with what they’ve got right now I don’t think it will be enough for the top four.”
