Liverpool striker Fabio Borini has admitted he made a good decision to join Paolo Di Canio's Sunderland on loan until the end of the season.
Borini, who was a young talent at Chelsea under Brendan Rodgers, joined the Reds as Rodgers first signing for the club, last summer, but the Italian has found it hard to forge a permanent position in the team and with the recent addition of Victor Moses to Liverpool's forward line, it seems Borini has escaped at the right time.
Borini, speaking to Sky Sports, has revealed he is relieved with the choice: "It feels good to make the move, I was waiting to get my time to play and I needed to play."
The former Swansea City striker has scored just one goal for the Anfield club in his 13 appearances and has been unlucky with several injuries he's sustained.
The 22-year-old is feeling positive about the club he's joined and knows he now has a chance to prove his worth in the Premier League.
"This is the right place to come. It's a great opportunity for me. Playing is important to me to achieve my goals for the season, " he added.
Di Canio's side are second from bottom after their first three matches and the pressure is now on the manager to drag his side out of their predicament.
Perhaps Borini could add that extra bit of class upfront needed to unlock the opponents' defence.
