Liverpool and Arsenal given green-light in race for Honda

The Liverpool and Arsenal target will be available in January

Liverpool, Arsenal and Everton look set to fight it out for the services of Keisuke Honda in January, after the striker revealed he will not be staying at CSKA Moscow.
Honda's contract expires during the winter-transfer window and he has announced that he is looking to move abroad rather than stay in the Russian league.
The news is likely to be welcomed by Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton, who have all been following the 27-year-old for some time. The Premier League trio now look set to fight it out for his services, with other clubs around Europe also interested in him.

AC Milan were said to have come close to acquiring him during the summer transfer, but a deal with the Italian club was never agreed and so he remained at Moscow.
The midfielder has been capped for Japan 48 times and has played for CSKA for three years.
Of his future, Honda said: "I have many choices, but I want to compare as much as possible.
"I don't think there's a chance I will stay in Russia.
"I just need to focus on the Russian league and the Champions League, so I don't want to talk about this right now."
