Liverpool have been boosted by the news that striker Daniel Sturridge should be fit to start Monday night’s Premier League clash away at Swansea City.

The Reds’ forward, who has scored 16 goals in his first 20 appearances for the club since signing from Chelsea in January, missed England’s recent two World Cup qualifiers with the thigh problem.
Sturridge scored in Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Manchester United two weeks ago despite carrying the knock.
The Independent report that Sturridge will resume full training on Saturday, two days before their trip to South Wales.
However, Press Association Sport understands Liverpool remain optimistic about his progress and believe the forward, who has scored in each of their opening three league matches to fire the Reds to the top of the table, has a good chance of facing Michael Laudrup’s side.
Meanwhile reports this morning suggest that right-back Glen Johnson’s high ankle sprain injury isn’t as bad as first feared.
Some had suggested earlier in the week that the 29-year-old would be out for up to 10 weeks, but he could return before the end of October now.
This morning Johnson tweeted some positive news:

20-year-old Andre Wisdom is expected to fill in at right-back during Johnson’s absence.
Swansea vs Liverpool gets underway at 8pm on Monday night, with Liverpool topping the league table going into this weekend’s fixtures.
