Liverpool: Rodgers to use Suarez on the left

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is planning to use Luis Suarez on the left this season

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is understood to be considering using Luis Suarez on the left of his attacking quartet when he returns from suspension later this month.
The Uruguay international still has two games of his 10-match suspension to serve, which he received for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic last season, and is expected to make his return against Manchester United in the League Cup on 25 September.
The 26-year-old was in exceptional form for the Reds last term and netted 23 league goals putting him second behind Manchester United’s Robin van Persie in the Premier League goalscoring table.
However, Suarez is likely to be given a different role when he returns from his ban with fellow striker Daniel Sturridge currently finding the net at will for the Merseyside outfit.
A Liverpool source has told SportsDirect News Rodgers is mulling over the idea of playing Suarez on the left side of an attacking trio with Sturridge in the centre and summer loan signing Victor Moses on the right.
The northern Irishman will then deploy Philippe Coutinho, who impressed in his debut campaign in the English top-flight, in a free role behind the strikers.
Rodgers believes using his front four in this system will allow him to get the best out of the players he has available and that they can bag enough goals for his side to cement a place in the top four this sesason.
