Liverpool plot swoop for Suarez replacement

Juventus forward Alessandro Matri
Liverpool are interested in Juventus forward Alessandro Matri, according to talkSPORT.
The Italian could be moving to the Premier League if the Reds decide to let Luis Suarez leave the club.
Suarez has publicly declared his desperation to leave Anfield, but Liverpool have stood firm on their stance that the Uruguayan is not for sale. But with Suarez still eager to depart the club, the Reds may finally give in to his request.
Should this be the case, Liverpool are considering buying the Juventus striker as his replacement. Matri has scored 27 league goals in his three seasons with Juventus – helping them to lift back-to-back Serie A titles.
The 28-year-old, who is wanted by Napoli too, could cost the Reds £10million, a fraction of the fee they will receive for Suarez. But with only 20 days of the transfer window left, Rodgers will want to have his squad completed as early as possible ahead of the new Premier League season.
Liverpool kick off their campaign against Stoke, but Suarez won’t be involved due to the continuation of his suspension and with rumours suggesting Arsenal could make a third bid for the Uruguayan, Rodgers is preparing a back up plan should he leave the club.
Would Matri be a good signing? Is it too late to sell Suarez and find a replacement?
