Sporting Lisbon have valued reported Liverpool defensive target Tiago Ilori at £6.1million, according to reports in Portugal.
Reds told to pay up for Ilori Reds boss Brendan Rodgers had been linked with a swoop for the highly-rated 20-year-old stopper earlier in the summer with claims he had an initial £3million bid rebuffed by Sporting.
However, after their interest appeared to cool, the Reds were again linked with Ilori in the past week when it emerged that their Uruguayan international centre-half Sebastian Coates was ruled out for the majority of this season with a serious knee injury.
Sporting do not want to sell Ilori but the player's reluctance to sign a new contract with the Portuguese outfit means they will if the right offer is put in and A Bola is reporting that to be £6.1million.
If Rodgers feels that Ilori is over-priced then he could switch targets and German Bundesliga side Schalke's Greek stopper Kyriakos Papadopoulos has also been mooted as a possible target.
