Liverpool’s transfer hopes boosted

Liverpool’s transfer hopes boosted

Victor Moses
Liverpool have been given a welcome boost to their chances of signing Chelsea’s Victor Moses on loan, reports the Daily Star.
Reports this week suggest Chelsea are close to a £3.5million deal for Porto winger Christian Atsu, leaving 22-year-old Moses even further down the Stamford Bridge pecking order.
And Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is now set to move for the former Wigan Athletic and Crystal Palace ace, with returning Blues boss Jose Mourinho willing to let him leave on loan for a £2million fee.
Liverpool had also been interested in signing Atsu, but will now settle for Moses as Rodgers attempts to build a squad he hopes will be strong enough to challenge for a top-four Premier League spot this season.
Moses’ first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge have grown slim since the summer arrivals of Kevin De Bruyne, Andre Schurrle and Willian, and it is thought he would welcome a move to Anfield to be reunited with former Chelsea teammate Daniel Sturridge.
Since joining Chelsea from Wigan at the beginning of last season, Moses has scored just one Premier League goal for the Blues, and managed a total of 10 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions.
